Sandy Mass & Potluck Meal

Join us for a joint afternoon beach-side service followed by a potluck meal sponsored by St. Paul’s, St. Augustine’s, Trinity, and Mediator. 

When: Sunday, Aug 27, 5:00pm (Mi time)

Where: St. Joseph’s Lion Beach (North Pavilion), 1701 Lion Park Drive, St. Joseph, MI.
Lions Park Beach, located at the south end of Lions Park Drive, has three shelters, public restrooms, grills, picnic tables, and playground equipment. There are no lifeguards.

Directions:

• From the intersection of Lakeshore Dr / Main St and M-63/Niles (by the AT&T store), head north on Main Street two blocks and turn left onto Price Street.
• Go two blocks on Price St to Lake Blvd, and then turn right.
• Turn left onto Park St, and then a left onto Lion’s Park Dr.
• Lion’s Park Beach North Shelter is the first shelter by the volleyball court

Parking: There is a daily per-car parking fee ($10) for both residents and non-residents. Residents may obtain a free seasonal parking permit and non-residents may purchase a seasonal parking permit from the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall. Otherwise, a kiosk to pay is located in the parking lot. Remember to take a copy of your license plate when paying at the kiosk. Free parking can be found within walking distance to the pavilion.

Potluck: Please bring a dish to share.
Note: When choosing your dish, please keep in mind that some of our folks, as well as others from St Paul’s, St. A’s, and Trinity, may enjoy a meatless option.

Seating: Picnic tables are provided, however, we suggest you bring a folding chair and blanket (in case the weather off the beach is chilly).
