Did you know that there are Junior Daughters of the King?
The Lambs of God Chapter of the Order of the Daughters of the King would like to start a new Chapter of Junior Daughters!
What exactly is a Junior Daughter?
First, the Daughters of the King is an Order for women and girls in the Episcopal, Anglican, Roman Catholic, and Lutheran Churches. The mission of the Order is the spread of Christ’s kingdom and the strengthening of the spiritual life of the church. Members work toward these goals by following a Rule of Life.
Second, as part of the Order, Junior Daughters of the Kings take vows of daily prayer and service through which they have a special opportunity to grow in Christian faith and commitment. Junior Chapters provide opportunities for girls to experience the joy of belonging to a fellowship in which love of God, others, and self is the framework for their meetings, pastimes, and ministry to others. Membership in the Junior Daughters is extended to all baptized girls.
The Order hopes to help each girl grow in her commitment to Jesus Christ and His church and ultimately go on to become Senior members of
the Order. Girls and young women ages 7-21 are eligible to become Junior members. An Interest Meeting is planned for the future and the date and time will be announced at a later date.
