New Junior Daughters of the King Chapter
Did you know? Did you know that there are Junior Daughters of the King?
The Lambs of God Chapter of the Daughters of the King at the Church of the Mediator would like to start a new Chapter of Junior Daughters! What exactly is a Junior Chapter? First, the Daughters of the King is an Order for women and girls in the Episcopal, Anglican, Roman Catholic, and Lutheran Churches. The mission of the Order is the spread of Christ’s kingdom and the strengthening of the spiritual life of the church. Members work toward these goals by following a Rule of Life. Second, as part of the Order, Junior Daughters of the King take vows of daily Prayer and Service through which they have a special opportunity to grow in Christian faith and commitment. Junior Chapters provide opportunities for girls to experience the joy of belonging to a fellowship in which love of God, others, and self is the framework for their meetings, pastimes, and ministry to others. Membership in the Junior Daughters is extended to all baptized girls. The Order hopes to help each girl grow in her commitment to Jesus Christ and His church and ultimately go on to become members of the Order. Girls and young women ages 7-21 are eligible to become Junior members.
